Sugar Land is the largest city in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States, located in the southwestern part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. Located about 19 miles (31 km) southwest of downtown Houston, Sugar Land is a populous suburban municipality centered around the junction of Texas State Highway 6 and U.S. Route 59.

Beginning in the 19th century, the present-day Sugar Land area was home to a large sugar plantation situated in the fertile floodplain of the Brazos River. Following the consolidation of local plantations into Imperial Sugar Company in 1908, Sugar Land grew steadily as a company town and incorporated as a city in 1959. Since then, Sugar Land has grown rapidly alongside other edge cities around Houston, with large-scale development of master-planned communities contributing to population swells since the 1980s.

Sugar Land is one of the most affluent and fastest-growing cities in Texas. Its population increased more than 158% between 1990 and 2000. Between 2000 and 2007, Sugar Land also had a 46% increase in jobs. As of the 2010 census, the city’s population was 78,817. Following the annexation of the Greatwood and New Territory communities in December 2017, the city’s population was estimated at 118,488 as of 2019.

Sugar Land is home to the headquarters of Imperial Sugar; the company’s main sugar refinery and distribution center were once located in the city.

Very courteous movers and professional too. We had estimated that the move would take about 8 hours, but the movers were done in 6-1/2 hours. And they cleaned up after themselves. You don't get that from most movers.

They get the job done fast!! Great personalities as well!!I used graceful movers AGAIN 12/07/24 and I had the same great experience! I am going through a hard time I needed someone who could do the job quick and efficiently and graceful movers did just that. They made sure everything was taken care of and even allowed me to vent as they packed. I meant so much to me. They also did a cool social media little challenge with my son that allowed me to get 100.00 off my move. These people are great it’s almost like they become family. My husband and I bought a new home and decided to hire Graceful Moves. We HIGHLY recommend them!!! They were very meticulous and cautious of our floors and walls in the process. We had just had our new home painted and new carpet installed and they brought things to lay down and were very careful. They wrapped everything and not a thing was broken! We have used Graceful Moves twice with our moves and both time the movers were incredibly careful and respectful of our belongings. Everything was carefully wrapped and labeled. Exceptional service, prompt, on time, careful with our belongings went above and beyond to ensure things were adequately braced, and protected. They were willing to work with us when Penske totally dropped the ball and didn’t have our truck ready to go and on site 🤦‍♂️. Guys were really friendly and remembered all of our instructions while packing and loading can’t speak more highly of them.

Once again Graceful Movers saved us. Sam, Matt and Kevin (or Kenny?? Sorry I'm bad with names!) All 3 were quick and friendly. Very polite and professional. Had a complex couch from Amazon and they both took it apart and reassembled it for me in no time. They hand wrapped everything that needed protection. They even offered me a nice discount as a returning customer! Thanks to them we have moved into our final home for the next 30 years, but I will be sure to always recommend Graceful Movers. If I could describe this move in one word, it would be "Perfect". Kendall, Jay and DMacc should up on time and were on it as soon as they left the truck. After we were done with the initial walk through, they got to work swiftly and carefully. This was by far the smoothest, most stress-free move I’ve ever experienced! I filled out their interest form on their website and within the hour received a call from our moving consultant to take all my information and provide me with a quote. He was EXTREMELY thorough and helpful. Was more than happy to answer any and all of my questions. The quote was very accurate compared to what the final bill came out to be. I called on a Wednesday for a move that needed to happen Friday, and they were able to accommodate even with only 2 days notice. It wasn’t a huge move, just basically one bedroom and bathroom’s worth of furniture and boxes from my aunt’s assisted living facility to a storage unit, which might have had something to do with them being able to squeeze me in last minute. But still, great. And, the day before the move I called and asked if they could possibly add 2 more stops (right along our route) to pick up a large piece of furniture from my Dad’s house and deliver it to my house, and they were able to do it no problem. The movers were right on time and extremely professional. I hadn’t been able to pack everything into boxes like I had planned and they were happy to do it for me. I would definitely hire this company again. Thank you, Graceful Moves!

The moving consultant Ryan was great over the phone and not pushy at all. He explained everything to me, with no hidden fees unlike the other company I contacted. The driver, Kendall was great as well, quick with packing everything into the truck and bringing everything inside at the drop off location. He also asked where should each and every box be placed. Ryan was great with setting up our move and helping me with what all I needed. He didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. (I showed him pictures of my storage units and said I didn’t need 2 trucks.) He was gracious with my changing moving date. The 4 guys doing the actual moving were awesome!
